The Polish Union of Loan Funds (PZFP) organized workshops concerning RODO implementation. Expert directions were given by Tide Software and law firms.
RODO Workshops for PZFP Members
On the 12th of April in the PZPF’s business office the workshops for members of the organization took place. Participants of the loan market and of the affiliate marketing exchanged experiences on the subject of practical aspects of changes in personal data protection. Experts were answering questions about RODO implementation.
RODO Is More Complicated for Loan Companies
The Polish Union of Loan Funds (PZFP) is the organization consociating the majority of the market of online non-bank loans in Poland. These institutions in many cases (e.g. gathering of scans of identification cards) legally do not have so easy road as banks. They collect sensitive data on incomings and sometimes, while reviewing loan applications, make decisions in fully automated way. These activities are subject to RODO rules.
The Most Common Doubts
Above 20 people took part in the meeting. Everybody could submit questions in advance. In spite of contents of consents, practical ideas on the fulfilling of the obligation of information were discussed. Doubts have been raised by profiling, decisions made in automated way and contents of consents of data processing agreements.
Technology Helps In Obeying RODO
A representative of Tide Software shared experiences gained with users of Tide Software platform, which is used for mass communication. The discussed experiences included enabling a natural person to withdraw consent or to update data individually as well as gathering personal data and consents on marketing activities via an SMS channel. It turns out that it is worthy to use an information system for mass communication to meet RODO requirements.
